David Dretzka, P.E. is the President and owner of Airwest Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc.  He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He started his professional career, designing HVAC systems for nuclear and fossil fuel power plants in Chicago.  Soon after moving to California in 1981, he started his own mechanical design firm and has designed systems for Knott’s Berry Farm, Disneyland, Wells Fargo Bank and RiteAid.  In 1986, he obtained his MBA degree from the California State University – Long Beach.  Fulfilling a long time dream to actually build what he designed, he acquired Airwest in 1997.

David is active in his church’s Knights of Columbus Council and has been Chairmen of the annual golf tournament and manager of the church’s softball team.  He lives in Irvine with his wife and daughter.
